There are different servers for different needs. In most cases, if you are part of a small team, you don't need a fancy server. That doesn't mean you don't need a good file share with good backups. We can help you determine the best solution for you. It is our practice never to recommend a solution that does not perfectly match our clients needs.

For most of our clients, servers are mystical things. They don't exactly understand why or if they need one. In the end it all comes down to applications. Businesses need applications in order to serve their clients. Traditionally, business applications were all client-server applications and you had to run them on an expensive server in your hardware closet. Today, many of those applications run in the Cloud.

In some cases, such as business email (Office365, GSuite, etc.), moving the application out of your hardware closet and into the Cloud is a no-brainer. You may not even remember when businesses managed their own email servers. In fact, when you see how beautifully your business email runs in Office365 or GSuite, you may wonder why you need a server for anything. Suffice to say, there are still many cases where it makes sense to setup and manage a server running in your closet, or to setup and manage a server running in the Cloud (Such as in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or the Google Cloud Platform).
